A Rare Orchid
By Tao Yuanming
A rare orchid in front yard raised
With sweetness the cool air she does await
Swiftly blows the gentle breeze
Making it different from wild weeds
Everything I do is just not what I wanted
Can I make it if I take a road slanted?
Home returning should I become aware
That useless is the hound without a hare.
Night at the Mountain Temple
By Li Bai
The Mountain Temple is hundreds of meters high
It seems you could reach the stars up in the sky
No one dares to speak in loud voices
Lest it disturb the heavenly folks passing by
